Pixmor was born to satisfy a personal need: having moved abroad with my wife, we needed a way of keeping in touch with our friends and family back home. And not just over the phone: we wanted to be able to show them where we lived, the places we went and the people we met. We wanted to share our experiences with them. Ideally we would have liked to gather everybody around us for a slideshow in our living room. But the distance made it impossible.

Analyzing the available photo album services on the web, I found that they were missing one important element to achieve the level of closeness and convenience I was looking for: voice narrations. So I set out on the task of filling this gap and started working on Pixmor in March 2005.

Pixmor aims at providing a highly reliable, simple, unobtrusive, quality online photo sharing service. The site is deliberately kept tidy and uncluttered to transmit this sense of simplicity.

Pixmor is a service of Pixmor Technologies S.L. with headquarters in Madrid, Spain. The company was established in November 2005. Since 2006 Pixmor collaborates with Matchmind to offer its products and services to corporations.

Prior to this venture I worked as a consultant for Accenture and later as Product Architect for Kewill Systems Plc. I graduated in Computer Science from Cambridge University and hold an M.S. in Engineering from the École Nationale de Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and the ETSI Caminos, Canales y Puertos in Madrid.
